We're a couple of weeks away from the February 14 release of Tennis' sophomore LP, Young and Old, and now the Denver, CO-based pop trio have unveiled a new cut called "My Better Self."
With its plunking piano chords and melancholic melody, this song is significantly more subdued than the recent single "Origins". Still, the jaunty drum beat means that it's not too low-key, making this another promising preview of Young and Old, which was produced by Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. We've been told that the album will showcase a strong Motown vibe, but this one is of a more straight-laced brand of melodic piano pop.
