Published Jun 20, 2014It's been a decade since California skate punk crew Ten Foot Pole issued their last full-length, Subliminal Messages. The band, however, are now making things loud and clear that they've got plans to put out a new LP in 2015.
Though info on the album is slim, a press release explains that it should arrive sometime next year through Cyber Tracks. The lineup has gone under a few changes since the early 2000s, with founding member Dennis Jagard tackling frontman and guitar duties alongside drummer Chris Dalley (Pulley, Implants), bassist Chris Del Rio (Implants) and guitarist Keith Divel (Swindle).
"I never doubted that I'd get back into it at some point — I just needed a break," Jagard said in a statement of bringing back the punk project. "Once you've experienced a crowd singing along to the songs you wrote, it's hard to imagine just walking away from the chance to do it again."
Aside from the loose ETA, details such as song titles or specifics on the lyrics have not been delivered. According to Jagard, the album is still in its developing stages, but added, "I think it's safe to say that fans can expect candid, sincere, honest and outrageous lyrics matched with some aggressive music, a few well-placed stops, and generous helpings of pick slides and feedback."
Though Ten Foot Pole haven't issued any new material since 2004, the band have got back together a few times to play live dates. Their next trip takes place this July and includes Canadian stops in Toronto, Belleville, and Drummondville, QC. You'll find the tour details down below.
