Owen Sound's Mudtown Records is set to release Tel Quel's debut album Expo in the new year, and Exclaim.ca has got you covered with a preview of the new material in the form of new single "Quit While You Are a Head."
The collective is loosely composed of Scott Farmer (Russian Futurists), Charles Glasspool (the Silver Hearts) and player of self-created instruments Patrick Dorfman. The new album also features some help from fellow a handful of Mudtown regulars.
Tel Quel have offered up the lead single "Quit While You Are a Head" in anticipation of the forthcoming LP, and it's a bizarrely charming mix of organic and electronic sound. Starting with sparse woodwind noises, the track morphs into an ambient, electronic number. Have a listen to the new tune below.
