Ahead of releasing a new album in 2021, Montreal seven-piece TEKE::TEKE have shared a pair of new songs.
Both a radio edit of the psych-punks' single "Kala Kala" and their cover of "Chidori" from Japanese guitar hero Takeshi Terauchi, can be streamed and purchased below.
The tracks arrive alongside news of the band's signing to Kill Rock Stars, ahead of releasing new album Shirushi through the label in the spring of next year.
"We are deeply honoured to be joining the great Kill Rock Stars family, a label we've long admired and that shares our community-oriented values and artistic vision," TEKE::TEKE shared in a statement. "Not to mention, the incredible roster that was pretty much the soundtrack to our lives, featuring artists we humbly look up to. Exciting things to come."
Kill Rock Stars president and founder Slim Moon shared that he was put on to TEKE::TEKE by Vancouver duo Mi'ens, who signed with the label earlier this year.
In an additional statement, he says of the Montrealers, "I love every single thing about them, and I believe they will be embraced by fans of all ages, cuz the magic of the music and their personalities are just impossible to deny. They are perfect ambassadors for what Kill Rock Stars is all about as we head into our fourth decade."
