Tegan and Sara

"Closer" (lyric video)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 25, 2012

Last week, sister duo Tegan and Sara served up "Closer," the electro-pop-flecked first preview of their still untitled, unofficially scheduled follow-up LP to 2009's Sainthood. In case you didn't quite catch all the steamy wordplay the first time around, the band have now helped you out by offering up all the details in a new lyric vid.

While the clip gathers some serene city scenes and azure sky shots, some of the steamier lines ("All I dream of lately is how to get you underneath me") come packaged with visuals of canoodling mannequins, Lichtenstein pop art make-out scenes, and snaps of hotel beds. You can, well, get a little bit closer to the material in the stream down below.

Tegan and Sara may not have announced the details for their next album just yet, despite hinting it will arrive in January, but as previously reported, you can catch the band on tour around the world and in Canada with the Killers. You can check the dates here.

UPDATE: In a post on the band's website, they have confirmed the new record is called Heartthrob.
