After sharing details behind new album Hey, I'm Just Like You earlier this month, Tegan and Sara have now revealed plans to take the effort and new memoir High School on tour later this year.
The "Hey, I'm Just Like You tour" is described as a "solo, acoustic, interactive" run that will keep the pair on the road for just over a month.
At each performance, Tegan and Sara will play a "mostly" acoustic set of old favourites and songs from the new album, read passages from High School, and screen old video footage from their teenage years.
Canadian stops on the tour include dates in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary (early and late shows), Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Tickets for all dates go on sale (Friday) July 26 at 10 a.m. local time. One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to the Tegan and Sara Foundation.
Hey, I'm Just Like You arrives September 27 via Sire Records, while High School will be out on September 24 via Simon & Schuster/MCD/Virago.
