Teenage Head Announce Ontario Tour

After recently hitting up Western Canada with a string of live dates, Canuck punk pioneers Teenage Head are giving some love to the East. Starting next week, the decades-old foursome will play several club and festival dates throughout their native Ontario, giving fans a chance to experience a bit of punk rock history first hand.

The tour comes in support of Teenage Head's recently released album, Teenage Head with Marky Ramone, a collection of re-recorded material from various points in the band's long history and surprisingly the first album by the group to ever get an official U.S. release.

In a recent interview with Exclaim! guitarist Gord Lewis said the album stemmed from a desire to give their songs a new "21st century approach," as well as finally give the rest of the world a little taste of Teenage Head. Lewis also went on to say that fans can likely expect a new album original material in the near future. "We've re-released our debut album and now we've released this, and those were both things we really wanted to do. Now it's time to move on," he said. "We're actually going to go both ways: we've got recordings from before the first album that no one's ever heard before and we've already started writing for a new record. I mean, an album of completely new songs? That would really freak everyone out.”

Here are Teenage Head's upcoming tour dates so far, with more expected to be announced shortly via the band's website:
