Teen Cthulu

Here's another release bound for the free boxes at End Of All/Red Roses For A Blue Lady matinees, with Teen Cthulu making a completely useless attempt at black metal on Ride The Blade. They may be a joke band, which would make things a lot easier to swallow, but it's hard to tell - some of the lyrics would point in that direction but others seem to be a serious attempt at black metal evil. The tunes are just speedy, one-shot attempts at black metal, none of which really come across as serious or useful. This is just fluff, coming across as a bunch of kids from Seattle joking around and not very occasionally hitting the mark. Why was this released?
