Published Sep 23, 2009Once again, Ted Leo is on the move and has signed to Matador Records.
The Washington, DC rocker jumped shipped after his previous label, Touch and Go, announced earlier this year that it would no longer be releasing new music.
This marks the second time Leo has been forced to change labels due to downsizing. Earlier this decade, he was signed to Lookout! Records, before the label shut down temporarily in 2005. Let's hope that Leo's bad luck doesn't follow him to Matador when he releases his debut full-length for the label.
According to the press release, the new album, which is currently without a title, was recorded throughout 2009 at Brooklyn's Seaside Lounge. We know it's tentatively schedule for release in early 2010 but at this point that's all we're getting, in terms of details.
