Technasia

Future Mix

Technasia is many things. It started in 1996 as a Hong Kong record label focused on putting Southeast Asia's underground electronic scene on the map. Founded by Hong Kong native Amil Khan and French ex-pat Charles Siegling, Technasia released their first EP, Themes from a Neon City, in 1997, followed by the Motion EP, in 1998. Khan and Siegling then joined with Shenzhen radio DJ Micheal Nee to host the Future Mix Radio Show, which reaches approximately 40 million listeners weekly in Hong Kong and mainland China. Their latest release, Future Mix, is a stunning compilation of Technasia's work so far. Presented in radio show format, with Mike Nee introing and extroing the tracks in Mandarin, the disc presents an eclectic and melodic mix of trance, tech-house and breaks.
