Chino Moreno's Team Sleep Announce Live-in-Studio Album

Chino Moreno is perhaps best known as the frontman of Deftones, but he also plays post-rock with Palms and more electronic-leaning material with ††† (Crosses). And let's not forget about Team Sleep, who are about to release their first new album in a decade. The record is called Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4, and it will be out on July 10.

In addition to Moreno, the band includes Chuck Doom (Crosses), CrookOne, Rick Verret and Todd Wilkinson. Drummer Zach Hill (of Death Grips) has now left the fold and has been replaced by Gil Sharone (of Marilyn Manson, formerly of the Dillinger Escape Plan).

The album is somewhere between a live album and a proper studio album, since it was recorded in front of a small audience at Woodstock, NY's Applehead Studios last October. It features new versions of already-released material, plus performances of songs that previously existed only as demos. This project was initially announced last fall.

This is apparently the beginning of a new era for Team Sleep, since they're planning a series of studio EPs, plus live shows. For now, Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4 can be pre-ordered on CD or vinyl through PledgeMusic.
