To promote her new album Lover, Taylor Swift is making an appearance at CBS Sunday Morning to speak about the recent drama surrounding the singer's public spat with Ithaca Holdings LLC's Scooter Braun.

In the interview with CBS — set to air this Sunday (August 25) — Swift claims to have plans to re-record her back catalogue in order to regain control of her masters.

When asked in the interview if Swift would try to re-record her early music to regain control of her masters, the singer responded, "Oh yeah," according The Hollywood Reporter.

"That's a plan?" she is then asked. Swift then reportedly replied, "Yeah, absolutely."

UPDATE (8/22, 9:15 a.m. ET): Swift Appeared on Good Morning America this morning and confirmed that her contract will allow her to record albums one through five as of November 2020 — which she fully intends on doing.

"I just think artists deserve to own their own work," she said. "I feel very passionately about that."

After Braun announced that his company had acquired Swift's former label Big Machine back in June of this year, Swift posted a scathing open letter to Tumblr detailing how pissed she was that she had lost her master recordings to someone she freely accused of "incessant, manipulative bullying."

In the post, Swift also passed blame to her former label boss Scott Borchetta, saying, "Any time Scott Borchetta has heard the words 'Scooter Braun' escape my lips, it was when I was either crying or trying not to. He knew what he was doing; they both did. Controlling a woman who didn't want to be associated with them. In perpetuity. That means forever."

Following Swift's open letter, a wave of celebrities weighed in including Justin Bieber, Todrick Hall, Brendon Urie, Sia, Kacey Musgraves and more.

Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta recently spoke out about the Big Machine acquisition, but didn't respond to Swift's distress.

At this time, it's unclear what Swift plans to do with the re-recorded catalogue.
