Tanya Tagaq and Owen Pallett Team Up for "Live at Massey Hall" Show

Iconic Toronto venue Massey Hall has announced plans for the latest show in their ongoing Live at Massey Hall series, and it will feature performances from Tanya Tagaq and Owen Pallett.
 
The acclaimed Canadian artists — both former recipients of the Polaris Music Prize — will co-headline the performance on December 1, which will be filmed for the online video series.
 
"Massey Hall is recognized by artists and audiences the world over as a hallowed cathedral of music," said Steve Jordan, founder and executive director of the Polaris Music Prize, in a press release. "We're honoured to be involved in this presentation and likewise humbled that Tanya and Owen have chosen to represent the excellence and artistic freedom of Polaris and its nominees."
 
The Live at Massey Hall series launched last year and showcased artists like Timber Timbre, Basia Bulat, Coeur de Pirate and Destroyer in its inaugural run. So far this season, performances from the like of Dan Mangan + BlacksmithShad, Hayden and Zaki Ibrahim have been documented.
