Published Sep 08, 2010The Tallest Man on Earth (aka Kristian Matsson) has earned heaps of praise since releasing sophomore LP The Wild Hunt last April. To bookend what has been an excellent 2010 for the folk troubadour, Matsson has set a physical release date of November for a digital five-track EP he surprised fans with yesterday (September 7).
The EP, Sometimes the Blues Is Just A Passing Bird, sprung from nowhere yesterday morning on iTunes, and will be available in tangible form on November 9, courtesy of Dead Oceans.
The EP features five new songs, including live favourite "Like the Wheel," which you can check out below. It was recorded this summer between the Tallest Man on Earth's previous tour and his current one, which will stop in Vancouver tonight (September 8) at the Rickshaw Theatre. Dates for Toronto and Montreal are slated for September 24 and 25, respectively.
The complete tour schedule can be viewed at the Tallest Man on Earth's MySpace, here. The tracklist for the new EP is below.
