Taking Back Sunday

Victory Records’ latest signing, Taking Back Sunday would have been an anomaly for the label as little as a year ago. But the label has since signed plenty of acts that don’t fall into its metal/hardcore lineup. Taking Back Sunday is definitely of the "new” Victory, delivering a hooky mixture of emotion that’s influenced more by Braid than by Earth Crisis. Like Braid, the band focuses on dueling vocals with a bit of pseudo-pop melodies and a touch of heart-filled yells. A terrific record all around that has genuine emotion behind every whisper.
