Tad Doyle's Brothers of the Sonic Cloth Sign to Neurot Recordings for Debut Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 23, 2014

At long last, guitar heavy Tad Doyle (Tad, Hog Molly) has completed the debut full-length with his Brothers of the Sonic Cloth project, and the album will land next spring through the stoner/doom group's new label home, Neurot Recordings.

A press release issued today (September 23) confirmed the partnership, though few specifics were actually given behind the as-yet-untitled release. Doyle's website, however, reveals that the group have been working on the record for a few years, with recording sessions having taken place at Doyle's own Witch Ape studio in Seattle.

Last month, Doyle had posted that the final mixes for the set were done by engineer Billy Anderson (Eyehategod, Melvins, Mr. Bungle) at Portland's Everything Hz facility. Track info has yet to be delivered.

Brothers of the Sonic Cloth comprise guitarist-vocalist Doyle, bassist Peggy Doyle and drummer Dave French (the Annunaki). They issued a split 10-inch with Seattle's Mico de Noche in 2009.

While early recordings and demos had been up on a Bandcamp page, the tracks have since been removed. Audio samples from the new LP are said to be forthcoming.
