T-Pain Working on Cartoon for Adult Swim; Lil Wayne to Play Role of Jesus Christ

Now that his iPod app has taken the world by storm, AutoTune guru T-Pain has made the next logical career move: make another album create a bizarre cartoon about something called "Black Spring Break." The cartoon is called Freaknik, and was created for the Cartoon Network's crazy Adult Swim programming block.

According to HipHopDX [via Consequence of Sound], the show will not only feature the voice-acting talents of T-Pain, but also Lil Wayne, who will play the role of Jesus Christ. Seriously.

In a statement, Adult Swim creative director Jake Escobedo tried to make sense of the show. "Basically it was a Black Spring Break that went down in Atlanta and got shut down back in '98 or '99. So the show is going to resurrect that, and it's going to be starring T-Pain and Lil Wayne and all these other artists like David Banner and some other dudes," he said. "It's all drawn, and T-Pain plays the ghost of spring break, the Spirit of Freaknik. He brings this party back to Atlanta and the artists have done all this music for it, and it's amazing."

If the trailer below is any indication, it looks like the Spirit of Freaknik flies around in a giant glowing vagina. In other words, it will be a standard Adult Swim cartoon.

Freaknik is set to air on March 21.
