Ontario songwriter Jon Lawless is known for his collaborative ways, and his latest single as Swim Good is no exception. "Trick" is a joint effort with Merival and LUM that features Born Ruffians frontman Luke Lalonde.
It's a bright electronic pop number with danceable beats and blipping arpeggios that build towards a catchy chorus, and as Lawless explains, "I think this is really just our collective attempt to make a one-off summer jam we would want to hear on the radio."
The stand-along single was apparently written during a storm in the lakefront town of Southampton, ON, but this summery tune is pure sunshine. Hear it below.
