Swet Shop Boys Cancel Tour Due to "Unforeseen Circumstances"

The run included live dates in Montreal and Toronto

Ahead of gearing up to take their Cashmere album and Sufi La EP out on the road, Swet Shop Boys have cancelled their forthcoming live performances.

Taking to Facebook today (September 7), the group announced that all tour dates from now through the end of the year have been cancelled, citing "unforeseen circumstances."

The trio, which includes former Das Racist MC Heems, Riz Ahmed (as Riz MC) and producer Redinho, were set to play six dates throughout September and October in Canada and the United States. As their website shows, the group were set to perform at Pop Montreal on September 15 and at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre on October 12.

"Full refunds for headliner shows will be issued at your point of purchase," the statement reads. "We appreciate all of our fans and look forward to seeing you when we return to the road."
