Swervedriver to Return with New Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 18, 2014

Ride aren't the only classic shoegaze band poised for a comeback in 2015: Swervedriver are hitting the road as they prepare to release their first album since the '90s.

This doesn't come as a total shock, since Swervedriver have been reunited for a few years. They reassembled in 2008 and have toured occasionally since then, releasing the single "Deep Wound" in 2013.

The missing link in their reunion endeavours has been a new album. That will soon change, and a press release confirms, "Seminal UK band Swervedriver today announce that 2015 will see the release of their first full length album since 1998's 99th Dream via Cobraside." For those doing the math, this will be their first album in 17 years.

The band have previously hinted that an album was coming with some tweets: There isn't a confirmed title or date for the album, but the announcement notes that its release will coincide with a U.S. tour. The trek will last for nearly all of March, so we can expect the LP to be out around the same time. Stay tuned for more details.
