The recently reformed shoegazers made their first return to Toronto in a decade for a performance in front of a packed, sweaty and ecstatic crowd. The Swervies brought their patented deafening swirls of guitar noise and melody for a 90-minute set that included virtually all of the fan favourites leaving no one disappointed. The members may have aged, but numbers like "Duel” and "Rave Down” sounded of the moment, and received such rapturous response it was as if they were the latest big thing. Though nothing further has been confirmed for the band, this triumphant showing proved there’s definitely the demand waiting for them.
