Rapper, actor and Brooklyn, NY-based shit-disturber Kid Cudi will need to control his rage for two weeks longer than anticipated. Cudi's sophomore album has a new drop date of September 28, two weeks later than its original September 14 release, reports Rap-Up.

The new date means Cudi's new album, Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager, will now share a release date with Young Jeezy and T.I. However, it bumps Cudi out of new-release company with his mentor, Kanye West, who will reportedly release the anticipated Good Ass Job September 14.

Music aside, the 27-year-old Cudi's been busy getting arrested and making subsequent efforts to clear his name. During a Brooklyn concert on Tuesday (July 20), he told fans that he's kicked hard drugs and is now only addicted to marijuana, according to Contact Music.

"I know you guys were hearing some shit about me in the news," Cudi told the crowd. "I was wilding out and shit, but I'm good now. I just smoke weed. I know n**gers die when they 27. I'm 26 now, but I promise I'll live 'til I'm old as shit."

Cudi's public announcement comes just over a month after he was arrested inNYC for felony criminal mischief and the possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly attacked a 24-year-old woman in a Manhattan apartment, reportedly smashing her cellphone and tearing her apartment door off its hinges before police arrived and took him into custody.
