"I've Been Around" appears on the new 7-inch from Mark Palm's fantastic pop band

With credits that include the likes of Reserve 34, Go It Alone, Vacant State, Get the Most, Devotion and Black Breath, Mark Palm is synonymous with the punk and hardcore of the Pacific Northwest. In recent years, however, the multi-talented musician has showcased his serious pop chops with Supercrush. Ahead of a new 7-inch from that group, Exclaim! is proud to premiere their latest music video.

As could be expected, "I've Been Around" is another hook-filled indie anthem in the vein of Teenage Fanclub or Matthew Sweet. The music is fantastic, but the video is on another level — working with filmmaker Ian Shelton, Supercrush have perfectly recreated Spike Jonze's iconic chase scene from the 1993 Girl Skateboards film Goldfish.

"Goldfish by Girl Skateboards was the first skate video I ever owned," Palm says. "I got it on VHS when it came out. I was twelve at the time and I must have watched it a million times."

From the shot list to the car to even the font choice, everything is perfectly recreated in Shelton's video.

Watch Palm shred through the San Francisco hills in the fantastic "I've Been Around" video below. The song will appear on a new Supercrush 7-inch from Debt Offensive in Canada and Painter Man Records in the United States. Pre-order the Canadian version here and the American version here.
