Super XX Man Volume V

Super XX was a black and white film discontinued by Kodak in 1995. In a dream, former Austin TX's Silver Scooter front-man Scott Garred envisioned himself as Super XX Man; Volume V is his latest chronicle of simple glimpses and everyday glances into the heart. Not quite as clever nor as self-aware as Magnetic Fields' Stephin Merritt, nor as morose as Elliott Smith, Super XX Man's mission is a troubadour's - to decipher matters of love and loss. He comes armed with the weapons he came in with - one microphone, his guitar, and sparsely chosen instrumentation and extras, but like any good superhero, he relies on his strengths of heartfelt expression and plaintive singing.
