After a few years of inactivity, Super Furry Animals hinted at a their return this week with some cryptic trailer videos, and now they've confirmed their plans. Sure enough, the Welsh rock band will be back in 2015 after having been on hiatus since late 2009.
The group are planning a UK tour in addition to a 15th anniversary reissue of their 2000 album Mwng, which will be out on May 1 through Das Koolies/Domino. This album has long been out of print, and this latest pressing is a deluxe edition with lots of bonus material including a Peel Session, a live set from ATP Festival, and B-sides that previously appeared on a bonus CD.

It's available to pre-order on white triple-vinyl (with a removable skull sticker and four-page booklet) or double-CD through Domino's website, and digitally via iTunes. There's also a standard single-LP version. Pre-orders directly from the label will come with an instant download of the standard album.

As for the tour, it consists of five shows in early May. All of these are in the UK, and there's no word as to whether the band are considering any further dates, or if they've got any more plans for their 2015 reunion. Tickets go on sale on March 5.
