A Sunny Day in Glasgow Announce Christmas EP, Share New Video

Philly shoegaze pop outfit A Sunny Day in Glasgow recently released their Sea When Absent LP, but they've already prepared a follow-up platter in the form of a new EP.

Rather than cobble together B-sides or songs that didn't make the final full-length, however, the group have put together five tracks for a limited, Christmas-themed cassette.

Sketch for Winter I: New Christmas Classics is the first edition in Geographic North's new cassette series. There will be four releases in total, with the next instalments coming from Pan American, Matt Lambert (of All the Saints) and Moon Diagrams (Moses Archuleta of Deerhunter).

For New Christmas Classics, A Sunny Day in Glasgow have pieced together four original holiday songs, as well as a cover of Mariah Carey's classic "All I Want for Christmas Is You." At the bottom of the page, you can get an idea of what to expect by streaming the track "Shut Your Mouth, It's Christmas."

New Christmas Classics will be available on December 3 and will be limited to 300 copies.

Outside of spreading holiday cheer, A Sunny Day in Glasgow have shared a new video for their Sea When Absent standout "Crushin.'" The black and white clip can be viewed below the EP's tracklist.

Sketch for Winter I: New Christmas Classics:

1. Shut Your Mouth, It's Christmas
2. Saturn Pulls Me Apart (Death of the Unconquerable Night)
3. Fantasia on Xmas (From Vaughan Williams)
4. The Strange Presents of Idols (Merry Christmas!)
5. All I Want for Christmas Is You (This is Peter McCallister, The Father Version) (Mariah Carey cover)
