ENERGY ALTERNATIVE

BY Vish KhannaPublished Feb 15, 2007

When Dave Ullrich launched download-only label Zunior.com in 2004, he wanted to help build a sustainable future for independent artists across the country. Now the former Inbred is pondering a different vision of sustainability with his latest project, a compilation entitled Our Power Solar Music, which features priceless unreleased performances from folks like Sexsmith & Kerr, Gordon Downie, Jill Barber, and Inbred cohort Mike O’Neill. The rally is for Toronto-based organization Our Power, which offers affordable solar power to residential communities. "The album was created to spread the word and all money raised will help spread it further,” Ullrich explains. "Instead of buying a bigger mini-van, the suggestion is that some progressive types might want to consider spending their money on locally-home-generated clean, renewable solar power.”
