Art metal trio SUMAC will soon return with a new LP called May You Be Held. Ahead of its arrival, they've let loose a new song.
"The Iron Chair" is exactly as experimental and unhinged as we've come to expect from SUMAC, offering plenty of loose pieces that all coalesce with an eruption of aggression. The song can be heard in full below.
"It's clear humans have figured out many ways over the centuries to acclimate to adverse circumstances, and even to thrive in them," Aaron Turner said in a press release for the album. "My hope for our family, humanity and future generations, is that we find our way by doing what we have always done — invent, adapt, band together, and ideally, hold each other up through love and kindness.
