Sub Pop Announces Black Friday Record Store Day Releases from Josh Tillman, Low, Shearwater
Record Store Day's U.S.-geared Black Friday event is coming up on November 29, and with it comes an arsenal of limited-edition vinyl releases. Amongst the oodles of audio goodies, for instance, will be offerings from Sub Pop signees Father John Misty (a.k.a. Joshua Tillman), Low and Shearwater.

A press release notes that Tillman will go by his real name for the limited-edition pressing of his score for photographer/filmmaker Emma Elizabeth Tillman's short film The History of Caves. Not too much has been revealed about the project, but the 10-song instrumental score is described as "spare" and "haunting." The vinyl version is being pressed in a run of 2,000 copies and will also be available digitally.

Low and Shearwater, meanwhile, are teaming up for a split 7-inch. Low's recent cover of Rihanna's "Stay" will feature on one side of the vinyl record, while Shearwater tackle Frank Ocean's "Novacane" on the flip. The record is being pressed in a run of 3,500, with proceeds going to Rock for Kids and the Southern Poverty Law Center. The single will also be available digitally.
