Stuck Mojo

HVY 1

BY Chris GramlichPublished Nov 1, 1999

If one is a fan of Stuck Mojo’s Southern fried rap-metal, then there is much to enjoy on this 70-plus minute live album (with two new studio tracks). The playing is airtight, nary a mistake can be detected on any of the 15 live tracks, the energy is there and even without the visual element, you can sense the energy that was in the performance and in the audience. The quality of the recording is better than most live albums — even though there is charm is such horrendous sounding classics like Who’s Got the Ten and a Half by Black Flag and Evillive by the Misfits — and if you like wrestling catchphrases, Mojo steals the most popular and splices them throughout their songs and set.
