Strung Out

"The Animal and the Machine"

If you've been itching for an early peek of Strung Out long-in-the-works Transmission.Alpha.Delta LP, the Cali pop-punk vets have now come through with a quick fix. Ahead of the record's March 24 due date through Fat Wreck Chords, you can now stream the speedy "The Animal and the Machine."

Displaying a bit of riffer madness, the band's Jake Kiley and Rob Ramos lock into mental, fretboard-exploring metal licks in the intro before settling into melodic chord work. The track also has a pretty scorching guitar solo. Backed by a full-steam-ahead backbeat and melodic vocals from frontman Jason Cruz, it's a pretty good representation of the Strung Out sound. You'll find the track down below.

As previously reported, Strung Out will be hitting North American stages this spring, with plenty of Canadian stops booked along the way. You'll find the details on tour stops between Vancouver and Montreal over here.
