The Strumbellas Reveal 'We Still Move on Dance Floors'

A few months ago, the Strumbellas released a new single from an upcoming album, and now the Ontario folk combo have confirmed the details of that planned LP. We Still Move on Dance Floors is out on October 22 via Six Shooter Records.

The album reportedly displays the band's recent growth while not straying too far from the sound of their debut album, last year's My Father and the Hunter. It was recorded in Washington state at Bear Creek Studio with producer Ryan Hadlock (the Lumineers, Islands, Metric).

A press release notes, "It seemed a natural progression for the band, whose dark lyrics about death and solitude crop up amongst beautiful lyrical mindscapes of trees and lakes and home."

See the nine-song tracklist below. Scroll past that to see the band's upcoming North American tour schedule and to watch a lyric video for the bright folk number "In This Life." Hear more energetically rootsy sounds by streaming "Ride On" over at SoundCloud.
