Rootsy Toronto ensemble the Strumbellas recently sold out the Horseshoe Tavern for the hometown release show for their album We Still Move on Dance Floors, but anyone who wasn't able to get through the door that night will soon have plenty more opportunities to see the group, since they will be playing lots of Ontario shows in the next few months.
During late December and early January, the band will stage a number of Ontario concerts. They will also make their way across the border in late January, playing a selection of U.S. gigs.
Then, in February, they will take up a residency at Toronto's Dakota Tavern. This will mean weekly shows on each Wednesday during February. The gigs will cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Each night will feature different special guests, including Cuff the Duke's Wayne Petti, Jerry Leger & the Situation, and others.
There are also a couple of extra Ontario shows interspersed between the residency gigs. See the schedule below.
