Strokes Aim for September Album Release, Julian Casablancas to Play Montreal and Toronto on North American Tour
After being all that mattered in early '00s, New York's the Strokes were pretty much M.I.A. during much of its latter half. But once again, there have been rumblings that the band are getting somewhere with their fourth studio LP.

Drummer Fab Moretti recently told the BBC that the band are shooting for an album release date "hopefully around September."

Moretti had a bunch of bouncy, positive things to say about the recording process. "We've been recording a bunch - basic tracks are done. Now we're just running around like kids in a candy shop," he claims, adding, "Coming back in and writing music was kind of like riding a bicycle."

Candy and bicycles? That wasn't what we last heard. But then again, with the Strokes, who knows?

In related news, singer Julian Casablancas will be touring again in support of his new album, Phrazes for the Young. The tour will strike out from New York, where the band are most likely recording. So, luckily Toronto and Montreal are both being treated to shows.
