EDM superstar and former post-hardcore dude Steve Aoki may not be the most critically acclaimed artist, but he's taken his solid four-out-of-ten Neon Future I LP to great heights with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Joined by Waka Flocka Flame and Travis Barker, the live performance is nothing if not energetic. From the very beginning, the appearance is rammed with enormously loud synths, Barker's busy drumming and Waka's growl (most of which is a backing track). Of course, Aoki lets the track play out so he and Waka can through cakes at the crowd. Sure, it's not the most nuanced performance, but it makes for crazy good television.
