Stereodyssey

"Dark Matter" (video)

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 23, 2014

Do not adjust your speakers or your monitor: Stereodyssey has just released a video "Dark Matter," and it's every bit as trippy as it initially appears.

The track, which comes from the Florida producer's new album Memory Bank, begins with interstellar synth swirls before being anchored with a slow-moving beat. The accompanying video is similarly spaced out, as we see blurry swirls of liquid colour oozing around the screen.

As is explained in a press statement, "Memory Bank focuses on minimal ambient instrumentals, so we wanted the video to reflect that. We also wanted the video to portray a sense of slow and steady movement, like objects or matter moving in space."

Check it out for yourself below.

Memory Bank is out now via New Ancient Records.
