Stephen Hawking Added to Glastonbury Lineup

What does world renowned scientist Stephen Hawking have in common with the likes of Foo Fighters, Kanye West and the Who? In an unlikely but awesome turn of events, the theoretical physicist will be joining the aforementioned performers at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Rather than headlining a main stage, though, Hawking's appearance will be geared toward some family friendly fun for kids under the age of 12. He's filled the top spot at the fest's Kidz Field lineup, which also features appearances from magician Dynamo and an array of TV presenters.

For festivalgoers that are really hoping for a mind-expanding experience, it might not be a bad idea to take a break from the shroom-fuelled roll-abouts in the mud and myriad musical performances to hear what Hawking has to say.

No details have been confirmed with regards to what his appearance will entail, but for now, you can relive Hawking's cameo on Pink Floyd's "Talkin' Hawkin'" from last year's The Endless River below.

This year's Glastonbury Festival runs from June 24 to 28, at Worthy Farm in southwest England.
