Start the New Year with Young Scooter, Vampire Weekend, Rocko and More in Our Music/Video Roundup

Welcome, one and all, to 2014! We're over a year past the Mayan apocalypse, one year away from hover boards and power laces, and set for some great new music and videos over the next 12 months. Only six days into 2014, and there are already plenty of new songs and videos to mull over; a few of the past week's best are below in our weekly Music/Video roundup.

First off, Atlanta's Young Scooter has shared his new Street Lottery 2 mixtape, which comes complete with "Chances" featuring Chief Keef and lyrics that describe the struggles he faced to support his family.

Both Rocko and August Alsina celebrated New Year's Eve by putting out some new releases. Rocko's blistering "Which 1 U Workin'," off his forthcoming album Expect the Unexpected, was his final 2013 hurrah, while August Alsina ended the year with the tear-jerking video for his song "Don't Forget About Me."

Vampire Weekend walked into 2014 with a remix of their song "Step," which now features Danny Brown, Heems and Despot. The remix revitalizes the song with some slick verses and gives new life to the track to carry the single into the new year.

Lastly, we have a somewhat bizarrely shot video from Prince, who is staying true to his resolution from last year of no longer disregarding the internet as a fad. Want to see Prince rip into one of his killer guitar solos? This is the video you've been looking for.
