"Wonderful Life" (Colin Vearncombe Cover)

After giving Kanye West's "Streetlights" the cover treatment last month, Canadian indie vets Stars are back with a new release in their year-long cover series for March, taking on Colin Vearncombe's "Wonderful Life," which originally arrived under his Black moniker.

Originally written with what the band call "a Morrissey-inspired jazz feel," the song has been reworked with Stars' recognizable electro-pop sound in mind. The cover came about through Stars wanting to pay tribute to Vearncombe, who died in a car accident at age 53 last month.

"We love this song and wanted to pay tribute to a great artist who you may not be familiar with," explained vocalist Torquil Campbell in a statement. "There's nothing like a great melody to remind us that no one is lost."
