Hit-making Norwegian production duo Stargate are once again flexing their, um, star power for a new single. In the wake of hits for the likes of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Katy Perry, their new single features both PARTYNEXTDOOR and 21 Savage.
Stargate's new collaborative track is called "1Night," which also comes with some trap-infused production by Murda Beatz. For PARTYNEXTDOOR's contribution, he provides the hook, while 21 Savage drops rhymes about having zero interest in settling down.
During an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Stargate opened up about the collaboration.
"We're so excited to put this record out," said the duo's Tor Erik Hermansen. "The whole reason we came to America in the first place was because we've always loved hip-hop. We grew up loving hip-hop, listening to hip-hop in Norway. I was in Oslo and Mikkel [Eriksen] was in Trondheim, and it was just a lifelong dream. So now to be able to, you know, years later come here and make the records that we really always wanted to make is really a full circle moment and a dream come true."
"1Night" marks Stargate's second proper single under their own name and follows last year's "Waterfall," which featured Sia and P!nk.
