The Stanfields Announce 'Modem Operandi,' Share New Video

The last time Celt-rocking Halifax crew the Stanfields released an album, it was 2013's acoustic LP For King and Country. Now, they've gone back to a more electrified sound for Modem Operandi, which is due out on September 18 on GroundSwell Music.

A press release explains that the song takes on political themes like privacy and free spech. In a statement, frontman Jon Landry called it "a mixed bag of timbre and tone, erratic in its simplicity; much like the issues of human connectivity that it addresses."

At the bottom of the page, watch a video for the track "The Fight Song." It's gruff, aggressively anthemic alt-rock anthem with a simple video consisting of close-up performance footage against a black background.

Modem Operandi is available to pre-order through a PledgeMusic campaign. It can be bought on CD or vinyl, or as part of some more lavish offers.
