St. Vincent Plots Stripped Down Rework of 'MASSEDUCTION' Called 'MassEducation'

St. Vincent has been sharing alternate renditions of songs since releasing MASSEDUCTION last fall, and now she's revealed plans for a full album rework. Titled MassEducation, the new project will arrive on October 12 via Loma Vista.

MassEducation hears Annie Clark reimagining the LP as a much more stripped down affair. It was recorded over two days during the mixing of MASSEDUCTION, with Thomas Bartlett accompanying Clark on piano.

"We neither rehearse nor spoke about how to approach any song, but rather, played two to three live takes, picked the best one, and trusted in the feeling of the moment," Clark said in a statement. "So here it is — two dear friends playing songs together with the kind of secret understanding one can only get through endless nights in New York City. Enjoy."
