Last month, we reported that singer-songwriter Annie Clark would be revitalizing her St. Vincent project with a new album called Strange Mercy this fall. Now, the songstress has revealed all of the details for the project.
That's the Strange Mercy cover art above, and the tracklisting is below. The album once again sees Clark team up with John Congleton, who produced her 2009 effort Actor. A press release says the record "finds her redefining the idea of the guitar hero, utilizing the instrument as a pointillist artist might wield a brush."
Strange Mercy will be released on September 13 via 4AD, with the album coming a day earlier in Europe. St. Vincent will celebrate its arrival with a North American tour that includes an appearance at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom on October 12. All dates are available below.
