St. Vincent Announces North American Tour, Plays Toronto and Vancouver
Riff-slinging art rock god St. Vincent (a.k.a. Annie Clark) ramped us up earlier this week with news that she'll indeed be delivering a new self-titled set in 2014, and now she's revealed she will be taking those new tunes around the world for a series of tour stops.

Ahead of the album's February 25 release through Loma Vista/Republic Records, Clark will cross the Atlantic to play a handful of European gigs. A day after the LP's official due date, though, she'll be back on the North American club circuit, kicking off the continental stretch in New York.

Canadian tour stops this time around include a March 25 concert at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom and an unspecified appearance at Toronto's NXNE on June 20. You can see all the show info at the bottom of the page.

As previously reported, St. Vincent is Clark's first LP for Loma Vista/Republic Records, having recently left 4AD. The song cycle was demoed in Austin before Clark hit a Dallas studio with producer John Congleton, Dap-Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss and Midlake's McKenzie Smith.

Purportedly prepped by St. Vincent as a "a party record you could play at a funeral," you can hear its first single, "Birth in Reverse," beneath the tour info.
