Squarepusher has announced plans for a new EP titled Lamental. The five-track effort arrives this April 10 via Warp Records.
Today, he shared a new track called "Midi Sans Frontières (Avec Batterie)" from the effort, a song composed in response to the 2016 Brexit referendum.
In a statement, the artist born Tom Jenkinson explained that the track's stems will also be available to other musicians and DJs to open the song up to "internationalist collaboration with sound makers, irrespective of what kind of music they make, where they live, their background or their age."
The vinyl release of the record will feature only four tracks, while the digital release will include an additional fifth track, "Les Mans Dansent."
Lamental follows his latest full-length record Be Up a Hello, released back in January this year via Warp. Read Exclaim!'s recent interview with Jenkinson.
