When Squarepusher's Tom Jenkinson announced the new album Damogen Furies, he promised that the music would explore "the hallucinatory, the nightmarish and the brutally visceral capacities of electronic music." Now, he's giving us a glimpse into his aggressive vision with the track "Stor Eiglass."
The track begins with a harshly thumping beat. From there, the arrangement remains frantic and aggressive through its four-and-a-half-minute runtime, although it becomes significantly sweeter-sounding with the entrance of a descending melody akin to the Cure's "Just Like Heaven." Hear it below.
