Tasteful indie greats Spoon are the latest act to get the La Blogotheque treatment, with a new Take Away Show finding the band presenting intensely intimate performances of material from their They Want My Soul LP.
Though occasionally obscured by plant life, singer Britt Daniel is seen sitting on a piano bench alongside Eric Harvey as they run through "Inside Out," the frontman nearly buckling over as he passionately croons about another's "intense gravity." Follow-up number "I Just Don't Understand" has him strapping on an acoustic guitar, and finds he and his bandmate performing a low-key but bluesy arrangement within the brick walls of New York's Knockdown Center.
