Spiritualized's new album, Sweet Heart Sweet Light, is definitely totally finished this time, and Jason Pierce and his collaborators have begun building the hype for its April 17 release. Following the single "Hey Jane," the band played the new song "Little Girl" for BBC Radio 6 Music.
The tune makes good on Pierce's promise that Sweet Heart Sweet Light would be a more pop-oriented album, as this smooth three-and-a-half-minute jam features a laid-back mid-tempo groove and a seductive, harmony-laden chorus that coaxes a lady, "Before we ride into the sun/Get it on."
For the performance, Pierce is joined by a handful of sidemen, a few backup singers, and a massive pair of sunglasses. Check it out below.
