Marking a first for Spirits, the Southern Ontario pop trio will be heading west for a Western Canadian tour. Kicking off tonight (April 9) in Vancouver, the tour finds the band playing such cities as Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Thunder Day throughout the month, before wrapping things up in Hamilton, ON on April 24.
The dates come in support of last year's self-titled debut full-length, which we wrote brings "the pop dance moves out of the dark, mixing in electronic keyboard or drum beats that practically stare you down until you dance."
The dates also follow several high-profile shows alongside the Pixies, Psychedelic Furs and Happy Mondays, as well as concerts with South African band the Parlotones. So by this point, Spirits' touring machine should be a well-oiled one.
