Spend An Evening With Saddle Creek

One of America's most successful independent record labels makes for a very engaging subject in this documentary celebrating a decade of business. Saddle Creek Records, home to the likes of Omaha acts like Bright Eyes, the Faint and Cursive, among others, is captured on camera with some excellent vintage concert footage from early performances and complementary pensive interviews with all of the label's musicians and employees. From the advent of the label (originally known as Lumberjack) by founders Robb Nansel and Justin Oberst to the individual profiles of each SC act, this is a well-told story and a must-own disc for fans of the label or anyone interested in seeing Conor Oberst as an awkward teenager.
